A Letter from David Fey

Greetings! It is my pleasure to take this opportunity to introduce myself as the new Interim Executive Director of Our Saviour’s Community Services.

From the beginning of the interview process and throughout my initial meetings with staff, residents, and students, I’ve been hearing that the strength of OSCS lies in its people. I can already see and feel how true this is. You have built a remarkable family of support, and I am delighted to join you!

The leadership of OSCS – with Sandy’s encouragement – was wise to plan an intentional interim before hiring its next permanent Executive Director, especially after the long tenure of such a strong leader. The year ahead will give us time to listen, learn, and reflect on the wisdom of our staff, residents, and students, as well as the family of supporting individuals and organizations that make this work possible. This process of reflection will help us identify and address immediate concerns, assess changing circumstances, and envision the type of leader OSCS will need during its next chapter of growth and service.

My job as Interim Executive Director is to support and facilitate this learning process, while ensuring that Our Saviour’s vital education and housing programs continue to serve the community and that our passionate, committed staff continues to thrive.

One of the things I love about serving in this role is the thoughtful investigation, honest dialogue, and creative thinking that can emerge during an intentional interim. There is enormous potential when we each bring our best selves to these conversations, and I look forward to engaging in them with many of you in the coming months.

In the meantime, don’t hesitate to reach out to me directly with your thoughts, questions, or concerns – or simply to introduce yourself! You are a critical member of this community, and your continued engagement and support will help shape the future of OSCS.

Warmly,
