Help Us Respond to COVID-19

Your financial support today will help us effectively respond to the COVID-19 crises. Your gift will provide critical additional resources to sustain shelter operations in a much safer hotel setting and bring online classes directly to students in their homes. Every gift will help, no matter how large or small!

The CARES Act, the coronavirus stimulus bill, expands the charitable deduction for all taxpayers. Regardless of whether you itemize your taxes, you may now deduct up to $300 in cash giving for the 2020 tax year (to be claimed on tax forms in 2021). For those who itemize, the law also lifts the cap on annual giving from 60 percent of adjusted gross income to 100 percent.

Who are we?

Our Saviour’s Community Services walks with people in community in the heart of Philips, one of the most diverse neighborhoods in South Minneapolis.

We provide dignified shelter and housing for single adults and English language classes to immigrants and refugees through our two programs – Our Saviour’s Housing and the English Learning Center.

Are we a religious organization?

Our Saviour’s Community Services takes its name from Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church, which founded our programs in the early 1980s. In 2004, we became a legally and financially independent nonprofit organization.

While we honor our history and value continued support from many faith communities, Our Saviour’s Community Services is not a religious organization. We welcome residents, students, staff, board members, and supporters from both diverse faith backgrounds and no faith background.
