Housing Plan Success

Exterior of the shelter at Our Saviour's Housing

This month, we are celebrating a big win at Our Saviour’s Housing. As of October 13th, all 17 of our shelter residents have completed a housing plan. That means that each shelter resident has a viable unit or housing option that, if the process goes smoothly with no unforeseen hiccups, they can move into. We work with residents to find housing plans that are safe, supportive to the level that they need, dignified, and responsive to what they want. It’s exciting that we have been able to identify and work toward that for each resident!

Finding Housing

This win was made possible by a lot of hard work from our team and the residents, themselves. Helping these 17 residents find housing involved utilizing a variety of resources. Some residents will move into housing using Emergency Housing Vouchers. Others will move into customized living apartments, or Rapid-Rehousing and Permanent Supportive Housing programs through Coordinated Entry. And some residents have been connected to a housing opportunity through Catholic Charities’ Endeavors Residence.

We’ve had two folks move into their new housing in the last week, and we look forward to more shelter residents moving into housing soon.
