About Metropolitan Men’s Choir

The Metropolitan Men’s Choir is built around the pleasure of making music with good friends and reaching for the best within. Their repertoire includes both sacred and secular music in a wide range of styles – from barbershop to madrigals, spirituals to jazz, chorales, folk tunes, and hymns.
Twenty-five voices strong and in their 16th season, the Metropolitan Men’s Choir seeks to share the fun of music-making with their audiences in the Twin Cities. Over the years, they have performed in venues ranging from the smallest churches to Orchestra Hall. They have performed with members of the Minnesota Orchestra, Twin Cities youth orchestras, and artists including Dorothy Benham and Tom Tipton.
As it says on the CD case of their first recorded album, Heart and Voice (2010), “We sing for the joy of it and always reach for that transcendent moment when the voice and the heart sing as one.”
Our Saviour’s Community Services is thrilled to partner with the Metropolitan Men’s Choir for the first time through this benefit concert for the English Learning Center.
